First of all, let me start by saying, many congratulations on your pregnancy, this is such an exciting time in your life. Before you know it, your little bundle of joy will be here and you will be missing your bump and missing feeling all those little movements. During your pregnancy you have so much on your mind that you have to be prepared for, such as the birth, getting the nursery ready, buying all those adorable baby items. Sometimes in this mad rush you forget to take time for yourself as your to busy preparing for what is to come. This is where Maternity Photography can help you, it can give you those memories of the big changes that your amazing body has gone through and the achievement that you have created a life in a tangible form that will be there forever.
Here is some information regarding my style of photography and what you can expect in your maternity session.
My preferred style of photography is timeless and natural. I don't use big fancy props or extravagant backgrounds. I prefer to keep everything as minimal as possible so that the focus of the photos is on yourself and the bump and the connection that you have already made with your little one.
WHEN DO I BOOK A MATERNITY SESSION?
Maternity photo sessions usually take place in the third trimester from around 28 weeks until a week or two before your due date. This is to allow for you to be a little more comfortable in the studio and your bump should be nice and round.
I aim to miss the final couple of weeks before the baby arrives and gives you time to relax.
WHERE WILL THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Your maternity photography session will take place in the comfort of my own lovely home studio, on the outskirts of Barnsley and Rotherham, at Manvers, South Yorkshire.
It is within easy access from the M1 and A1 motorways.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
I absolutely adore pure natural colours, like whites, beige's and creams. These colours are what I would recommend for my studio maternity photography.
These can either be long flowy dresses or partnered with some light coloured jeans or chinos.
If your happy to have photos in your underwear, I would recommend wearing something that is matching in colour.
CAN I BRING MY PARTNER AND OTHER CHILDREN?
Yes of course, there is no better connection between the partner and the growing bump and these can make wonderful photos.
The same with your children, seeing their connection with your growing bump is such a wonderful experience to capture.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
You will receive your link for your online viewing gallery is around 3-4 weeks, usually less after the session date.
You will be able to download your selected amount of digital images straight from the gallery.
I suggest doing this on a computer or laptop as mobile phones can decrease the quality of the images.
DO YOU SUPPLY PRINTED PRODUCTS?
Yes, I offer a selection of fine art and normal printed products, from lose prints to albums.
You will receive a pdf document with the products and pricing in. There is also a selection in the studio for you to have a browse through during the session.
I always suggest purchasing some kind of printed product, such as prints, album or folio, as they can be a staple to your home, as well as giving you something tangible to show your family and friends and have on display.

Upon booking a 50% booking fee/retainer fee is required to secure your date in my diary.
Your retainer fee will be deducted from the package you have already chosen at the time of booking and the remaining balance is payable on the day of the session. During your session I ask all my clients if they can think of a piece of wall in their homes that looks empty and lonely, and would benefit with some professionally made wall art. Here at Becky Helen Photography, I offer a varitey of wall arts including:- wall spheres, frames and canvases. As well as some lovely print options that include a print box with mounted prints inside and a triple winged folio.
